Bruichladdich – Yellow Submarine [Reclassified] 14 Year Old (70cl, 54.2%)

This is a 14 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, revealed in 2026 for the 25th anniversary of the distillery's revival. It is a reissue of the Yellow Submarine bottling, which recalls the remote-controlled yellow submarine Islay fishermen found off the distillery in 2005. Three quarters of the blend matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and the remaining quarter in ex-Bordeaux red wine casks. It is bottled at 54.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The bourbon casks bring soft vanilla and pastry notes, while the red wine casks add structure with fruity and spicy tones. The finish is long, with fruit and a touch of bitterness.
