A Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2020 from Podere Casisano, made from Sangiovese Grosso in one of Tuscany's most prestigious areas. The temperate climate and vineyard altitude give the wine an elegant, structured character. After controlled fermentation it ages for at least 36 months in oak barrels, developing aromatic complexity and depth. In the glass it is intense ruby red, with aromas of ripe cherry, earthy notes and a delicate hint of tobacco. The tannin is fine and well integrated, with a savoury freshness on the palate and a long, persistent finish. It pairs well with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
