Château Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Estate Merlot 2018 (75cl, 14.5%)

Château Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Estate Merlot is a red wine from the Canoe Ridge vineyard, made from hand-harvested Merlot. The grapes are destemmed, then fermented on the skins under controlled conditions. It matures for 18 months in predominantly new French oak barriques. In the glass it is a deep, intense red with bright highlights. The bouquet is dominated by ripe red berry and sweet cherry notes, complemented by wood-derived spice, smoke, tobacco and oak. On the palate it is full and smooth, with well-integrated tannins and a remarkable elegance. The finish is long-lasting.
