Eroica XLC is a dry Riesling from the Columbia Valley in Washington State, made as a partnership between Chateau Ste. Michelle and the German winemaker Dr. Ernst Loosen. This is the 2020 vintage, at 12% in a 75cl bottle.
The wine spends 22 months on its fine lees, which gives it a velvety, smooth texture.
Citrus fruit comes through on the nose, with lime, mandarin and crisp green apple. The palate is juicy and full, with balanced acidity and pronounced minerality.
