Château Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Merlot 2021 (75cl, 13.5%)

Château Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Merlot is a dry red wine from Washington. It is bright purple-red in colour. The nose shows blueberries, blackberries and mulberries, with notes from oak ageing such as fireplace wood, cinnamon and dark chocolate. On the palate it is elegantly dry with very little residual sugar, balanced in structure and smooth. It matures for 18 months in French and American oak. The grapes are hand-harvested, selected and gently processed, with fermentation at controlled temperatures in small wooden casks. It is best served at 15 to 18 °C.
