Bulleit 95 Rye is a rye whiskey made from a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, produced in small batches. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle and won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
The nose is full of cherries and vanilla, with subtle leather and tobacco behind them. The palate starts hot, with spice coming forward, before peaches, more cherries and a little orange zest follow. The finish is smoky, carried by cinnamon, allspice and a hint of sweetness.
