Bulleit Rye is a straight rye whiskey in a 37.5cl bottle, bottled at 45% ABV. The mashbill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the spirit is produced at the MGP distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is matured both at MGP and in Bulleit's own warehouses.
The nose brings mint and rye spice with cedar, pine needles, menthol, oak and soft vanilla. The palate starts soft, with mild tobacco and cherry, then moves to cinnamon, clove and black pepper alongside honey and vanilla. The finish is crisp and clean, with rye grain, dry oak and a peppery warmth.
