Kinnard And Drake Straight Bourbon is a five-year-old, high-rye bourbon from Indiana, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of 11 barrels of MGP's 36% rye mash bill bourbon from Lawrenceburg, selected and bottled by Boone County Jail Distillery, a family-owned distillery in a converted county jail.
The nose is honeysuckle, vanilla custard, cinnamon, clove and caramel, with a little spearmint and lime. The palate is creamy, with butterscotch and apricot, then rye spice, and hints of Grand Marnier and popcorn. The finish is long and sweet, with caramel, raisins, cherries and cinnamon warmth.
