This is a ten-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Discovery range. It shows the heavily peated side of the distillery. The whisky matured in a sherry cask and was bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour.
The nose brings vanilla cream, lemon, grass and seaweed, with brine and peat smoke. On the palate, candied lime, pear and blackcurrant meet milk chocolate, leather and liquorice. The finish is long and smoky, with tobacco, wood and the embers of a campfire.
