An 11 year old Bunnahabhain from Islay, matured in a sherry cask and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Discovery range at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The range groups its whiskies by flavour profile as Sherry, Smoky or Bourbon, and this one belongs to the sherry-matured group.
The nose is rich and sweet, with fruit cake and vanilla. On the palate, cinnamon spice, stewed plum and orange marmalade come through, and the finish is smooth milk chocolate.
