This is an 11 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Discovery range. It was bottled in 2019 at 43% and comes in a 70cl bottle.
Gordon & MacPhail selected the sherry casks and oversaw the maturation, which places the whisky in the Sherry profile of the Discovery range. It is soft and creamy, with dark fruit, nuts and spice, and has no peat smoke.
The nose shows orange marmalade, dried fruit, vanilla and toffee with fine spices. The palate is creamy, with cinnamon, dates and stewed plums. The finish is round and nutty, with walnut and milk chocolate alongside lasting fruit sweetness.
