This Bunnahabhain is a single cask Islay malt bottled by Duncan Taylor at 15 years old and 54.4%, from a single sherry cask. It was distilled in December 2008 and bottled in January 2024, filling 618 bottles. It is unpeated, non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Dried fruit, nougat and nuts shape the character, with salty notes alongside the fruit sweetness and cinnamon, nutmeg and oak spice.
The nose is fresh and fruity-sweet, with nougat cream, raisins, warm raspberry and salted cashews. The palate is full, with dates, figs, raisins and ripe cherries, then salted caramel, nutty pastry and firm oak spice. The finish is medium in length, with dried fruit, cocoa, winter spices and nuts.
