Bunnahabhain – 18 Year Old (70cl, 46.3%)

This is an 18-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, matured in Oloroso sherry casks. It belongs to the distillery's unpeated core range and is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle with a tube. It is non-chill-filtered and has natural colour. The character is built around dried fruit, honeyed nuttiness, toffee and spice, with oak and a fine salty note. On the nose, dried fruit, honeyed nuts and toffee sit with a light spice. The palate shows sherried nuts, dried fruit and oak, with toffee and a slight saltiness. The finish keeps the dried fruit, with hints of spice and salt.
