Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old – Small Batch Distilled (46.3%)

This is an 18 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, made from unpeated malt and matured in selected sherry casks. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose combines rich honey, nuts and the concentrated sweetness of dried fruit, with creamy toffee and a little spice. On the palate come strong sherry tones and aged oak, salted caramel and soft toffee, in a creamy texture with a maritime note running through it. The finish starts with spicy oak and dried fruit, turns drier and leaves a salty touch reminiscent of sea air.
