This is an 18-year-old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It matured exclusively in sherry casks, which give it a deep mahogany colour.
Bunnahabhain stands on the north of Islay and was founded in 1881. Despite its island home, this expression is not peaty.
The nose brings dried fruit, honeyed nuts, toffee and light spice. On the palate come mild sherried nuts, dried fruit, rich oak and toffee, and the finish carries dried fruit with a touch of spice and salt.
