Bunnahabhain 1977 Over 40 is an Islay single malt in the Artist #12 series, matured for 44 years and bottled at 47.2%. It was made during a period when the distillery produced whisky with little or no peat.
Its character is deeply saline, with pronounced peat emerging retronasally. A rounded, voluptuous texture accompanies liquorice flavours that run through the palate and continue into the finish.
