This is a peated Bunnahabhain from Islay, bottled by C. Dully Selection as a single cask. It was distilled on 8 October 2012, matured in a bourbon barrel and bottled on 24 October 2024 at 12 years old. Only 216 bottles were filled, at a cask strength of 55%, in a 70cl bottle.
The peat smoke is gentler than in many young peated malts, with more fruit and a sweetness that lingers after swallowing.
The nose combines mild smoke, sweet fruit and maritime hints. The palate is soft and layered, smoky at first and then round with fruit. The finish is long and smoky-sweet, balancing sweet fruit and mild peat.
