This is a 7 year old single malt from Bunnahabhain on Islay, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Spirit of Scotland range. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 60.7%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a refill sherry hogshead, cask 201225, which gave 259 bottles. It is unpeated, with no added colouring and no chill-filtration.
The nose offers ripe raspberry and vanilla pod, with a gentle sea breeze and autumn spices. On the palate come creamy toffee, dark stewed fruit, malt and lightly toasted oak. The finish is warming and peppery, with a trace of cocoa.
