A limited release Bunnahabhain distilled on 5th September 1997. It matured in traditional ex-whisky casks, then moved to Pedro Ximenez sherry casks on 10th March 2016 for the rest of its maturation. It was bottled on 23rd January 2020 at a natural cask strength of 50%, with no added colour and non-chill filtered, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines sultanas, figs and dried fruit with sweet berries and a peppery smokiness. The palate has roasted nuts, fig rolls, vanilla and caramel, sweet and layered, moving from fruit to peppery smoke. The finish is peppery and sweet.
