This is a 23 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by North Star Spirits as Cask Series 028 at 51.2%.
It was distilled in October 2002, matured in a refill hogshead and bottled in June 2026. The cask gave 201 bottles, and the whisky is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
Caramelised citrus fruit and a warm, slightly modelling-clay note open the nose. The palate is full and soft, with rich vanilla cream beneath cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The finish is long, creamy and sweet, with marzipan and hazelnut.
