This is a thirty-year-old Bunnahabhain from Islay, matured entirely in ex-sherry casks. The casks rested in the distillery's coastal warehouses. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose pairs butterscotch and beeswax with sweet sherry. The palate begins with strawberries and cream, then develops honeyed nutty cereal and rich toffee. The gentle finish brings stewed berries and ginger, with spicy oak and salted caramel alternating for a long time.
