This is a 40 year old Bunnahabhain from Islay, distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2012 by House of Macduff for its Golden Cask series. It matured for four decades in a single cask, and 346 individually numbered bottles were filled. Bunnahabhain is an unpeated style. The long maturation is described as bringing depth and balance, with layers of fruit, subtle spice and a gentle coastal influence.
