This is a 40 year old Bunnahabhain from the Rare Find range by Glean Mor Spirits, bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2020. It is a vatting of five refill sherry butts.
Tasting notes describe a nose of marmalade, pineapple strudel, soft vanilla and nougat with gentle coastal notes. The palate is sweet and rounded, with tropical fruits, biscuits, honey and delicate sweet oak, leading to a lingering finish of liquorice and candied orange peel.
