Bunnahabhain – 40 Years Old (70cl, 41.9%)

A 40 year old single malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery, bottled at 41.9% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. The whisky matured in casks sourced from the wine and spirits merchant J.G. Turney. They were kept in warehouses beside the sea and were almost forgotten, until the blending team came across them while going through the warehouse ledgers. It is described as tropical fruit, berries and flowers, with creamy caramel in sweet oak, vanilla and toasted nuts.
