Bunnahabhain – 40 Years (70cl, 41.9%)

Bunnahabhain 40 Years Old is an Islay single malt, bottled at 41.9% in a 70cl bottle. It spent four decades maturing in warehouses by the sea, in casks from the wine and spirits merchant J.G. Turney. Only 1,000 bottles were filled. The nose is described as tropical fruit, banana and berries, with creamy toffee, vanilla, rich nuttiness and gentle sweet oak. On the palate are sweet malt, creamy caramel and vanilla, then roasted nuts, tropical fruit, banana and pineapple. The finish is long, sweet and fruity.
