Cask Type
2nd fill sherry butt
This Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain was bottled by Signatory Vintage for its 35th Anniversary Collection. It was distilled in 1978 and spent 44 years in a single second-fill sherry butt before bottling in 2023 at natural cask strength. Just 238 individually numbered bottles were released. The second-fill butt gives a more subtle sherry influence, leaving room for Bunnahabhain's unpeated, maritime style, with dried fruit, gentle spice and refined oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
