Bunnahabhain Abhainn Araig is an Islay single malt bottled for Fèis Ìle 2022, the yearly Islay festival that brings together fans of whisky and the island. It is a limited bottling at 50.8% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in ex-bourbon and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, and is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The nose offers chocolate, leather, ginger, nuts, malt and cigar boxes. The palate has an oily texture with raisins, nuts, milk chocolate, oak and balsamic notes. The finish is medium in length, warm and spicy, with toffee.
