This is a 13 year old unpeated single malt from Bunnahabhain on the north coast of Islay, in a one litre bottle. It is named after the bay of Bàgh Garbh, Gaelic for the rough bay, and belongs to the Uncharted Coast Collection.
The whisky first matured in the distillery's coastal warehouses and then received an Amontillado sherry finish. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose brings roasted hazelnuts, dried figs and a little sea salt. The palate is full, with molasses toffee and spiced orange peel, and the texture is oily.
