Bunnahabhain Cruach Mhona is a peated single malt Scotch whisky in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 50% ABV without an age statement. It is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The name is Gaelic for a pile of peat, and the whisky is a pale gold.
The nose has peat and vanilla, creosote, dried herbs, harbour rope, sweet biscuits and orchard fruit. The palate is sweet and smoky, with lemon, salt and pepper, over oak, malt and a hint of sand dunes. The finish carries more sweet smoke and citrus.
