Bunnahabhain – Eirigh Na Greine (1L, 46.3%)

Eirigh Na Greine is a Bunnahabhain single malt from Islay, bottled at 46.3% in a one litre bottle. It is a limited edition, without chill-filtration or added colouring, and it was first made for the travel retail trade. French and Italian red wine casks feature in its make-up. Bunnahabhain whiskies matured in them, among others, are married together, so the red wine influence applies to part of the blend. The nose brings soft vanilla and caramel with a little honey and ripe raspberries. On the palate are juicy apricots and nectarines, a subtle note of sea salt and freshly ground pepper. The finish is long, fruity and spicy, with a faint trace of smoke.
