Refill butt
An 18-year-old Bunnahabhain Moine, a single malt from Islay, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in December 2004 and bottled in March 2023 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular Midnight Series. Moine is made from heavily peated malted barley, unlike Bunnahabhain's traditionally unpeated style. This single refill butt produced 588 bottles at 48.4%, without colouring or chill filtration. Honey and burnt raisins lead the nose, with tobacco, ginger and spices on the palate. The finish is long and warming, with sweet barley and home-baking flavours.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
