Bunnahabhain – Octave 15 Year Old 2008/2024 (Duncan Taylor) (54.2%)

This is a 15-year-old Bunnahabhain single malt from Islay, bottled by Duncan Taylor as part of its Octave Collection. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024 at a cask strength of 54.2% ABV. After its first maturation in traditional oak casks, the whisky spent four months finishing in a sherry octave, a small cask. Duncan Taylor has worked with smaller casks for more than 40 years, and the extra contact between wood and spirit gives this malt an intense, rich character.
