This is a peated 10 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, a single cask bottling in the Old Friends series. It was distilled in October 2013 and matured in a first fill American bourbon barrel, cask 10481, before bottling in October 2023.
The 233 bottles are at a cask strength of 57.7% ABV.
The nose is maritime, with peat smoke, clear vanilla sweetness, grain and light orchard fruit, lifted by a little citrus. The palate has a tamer, clearer smoke with creamy vanilla, mineral notes, malt sugar and ripe fruit.
