An unpeated 12 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, selected by Thompson Bros. of Dornoch for their Pride of Islay bottling. The whisky spent its final five years in first-fill Madeira barriques.
It is bottled at 46.1% ABV, without added colour and non-chill-filtered, and is a warm amber in the glass.
The flavour runs to red berries, walnut oil and fine sea salt, with no dominant smoke.
