Bunnahabhain Toiteach a Dhà is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46.3% ABV. Bunnahabhain is best known for unpeated whisky, and this is the second release in its smoky Toiteach line. The Gaelic name means 'smoky no. 2'. It was matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose combines spicy peat smoke with dark chocolate, dried fruit and salty sea air. On the palate, rich layers of smoke meet sweet sherry, vanilla and a gentle spice like black pepper. The finish is strong, smoky and nutty, and stays on the palate.
