Bunnahabhain – Toiteach A Dhà (20cl, 46.3%)

This is an Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, in a 20cl bottle at 46.3%. Toiteach A Dhà means roughly 'smoky two' and is the second peated bottling under the Toiteach name. It is made from peated malted barley and matured in bourbon and sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose has peat smoke, sherry and strong oak, with salty notes and red berries. On the palate, warming peat comes first, then sweet Oloroso, oak and fine pepper, with a savoury note of smoked fish. The medium to long finish stays smoky, with dry sherry, oak, pepper, salt and dark chocolate.
