Bunnahabhain Toiteach a Dhà is a smoky, sherried Islay single malt. The name means 'Smoky Two' in Scots Gaelic, as it follows the original peated Toiteach, with a higher sherry influence. Its light smokiness comes from peated malted barley, and it is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The nose opens with grilled pineapple, kiwi and moist old wood, followed by salt and pepper. The palate brings citrus fruits, licorice root and soft medicinal notes, with orchard fruit and warming spice. The finish is long and smoky, with lingering sherry sweetness and coastal salinity.
