Burnside – 1999/2023 Oksamyt Wine Cask (57.9%)

This is a Speyside single malt from Burnside, distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2023 by Berry Bros. & Rudd at 57.9% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and comes in a gift box from 156 bottles. The whisky matured in a bourbon hogshead and was then finished in an Oksamyt wine cask from Ukraine. It is a teaspooned bottling. With some air and a little warmth, it is said to reveal raspberry yoghurt, sweets and vanilla.
