Burnside 36 Years Old is a single malt from the Balvenie distillery in Speyside, distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2025 by the independent bottler C. Dully Selection. It matured for 36 years in a bourbon barrel and was bottled at cask strength, 52.4% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The release is limited to 199 bottles.
The nose offers warm honey, beeswax and heather, with ripe apple, pear and apricot, and slightly fermented hints of pineapple and mango. On the palate, honey, malt sugar and toffee sit beneath pickled peach, overripe banana, passion fruit and candied citrus peel, with oak spice, nutmeg and white pepper. The finish is long and warm, with honey sweetness and ripe fruit.
