This is a Bushmills malt whiskey with a 10 year age statement, dating from the 1980s. It is gold in colour. Bananas and rum open the nose, followed by very ripe strawberries, kirsch, mirabelle plums and eau-de-vie. In the mouth it is creamy and almost thick, with apricot pie and honey giving way to different fruit jams, a little white pepper, hints of clove and ripe banana. The finish is medium to long, with strawberry jam and quite plenty of cinnamon.

Nose

Bananas and rum, very ripe strawberries, kirsch, mirabelle plums, eau-de-vie

Palate

Creamy, almost thick, apricot pie, honey, fruit jams, white pepper, clove, ripe banana

Finish

Medium to long, strawberry jam, quite plenty of cinnamon
