This is a 10 year old Irish malt whiskey from Bushmills, dating from the mid-1980s. Its colour is gold.
The nose opens with bananas and rum, followed by very ripe strawberries, kirsch, mirabelle plums and eau-de-vie. The palate is creamy and almost thick, with apricot pie, honey and a range of fruit jams, plus a little white pepper, a hint of clove and ripe banana.
The finish is medium to long, with strawberry jam and a good deal of cinnamon.
