Bushmills – 15 Year Old Bourbon Cask (70cl, 46%)

This is a 15 year old Irish single malt from Bushmills, triple distilled and matured in first-fill and second-fill bourbon casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and comes in a tube. The bourbon casks give it a clear American oak profile, with vanilla, ripe fruit and a fine wood structure. The nose is typically described as vanilla pudding, brown sugar, oak and toasted almonds. On the palate come pear, green apple, apricot, butter toffee and a touch of nutmeg, and the finish brings toffee, almonds and gentle oak spice.
