This is a 16 year old single malt Irish whiskey from Bushmills, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
It spends about 15 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon-seasoned casks. It is then finished for about nine months in port pipes, the large barrels traditionally used for port wine. The port finish adds a hint of ruby colour.
It is described as showing juicy fruit, nuts and spice in layers.
