Bushmills 16 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from the Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery draws on the waters of the River Bush.
The whiskey matured first in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, then spent a final period in port wine pipes.
The nose offers dried figs and raisins, toasted nuts, a hint of marzipan and subtle spice. The palate is velvety, with sweet sherry notes, dark chocolate, roasted almonds and ripe berries. The finish is long and warming, with fruitcake and oak spice.
