This single cask Bushmills from The Causeway Collection was distilled on 19 April 1989 and matured for 32 years in port cask 6095. La Maison du Whisky chose the cask for its own bottling.
It was bottled in 2021 at cask strength, 53.8%, in a run of 354 bottles of 70cl, without chill-filtration or added colour. The malt is triple distilled.
The nose opens with vanilla, lily, gorse and mimosa, sage and verbena, with passion fruit, banana and pineapple. The palate begins with liquorice, then white currants, marshmallow, violet and lavender. The long finish brings chamomile and rosemary tea and salted butter caramel.
