Bushmills 2008 Jupille Casks – Causeway Collection (70cl, 55%)

A single malt Irish whiskey from Bushmills, released as part of the Causeway Collection. It is a 2008 vintage, bottled in 2022 at 14 years old and at a cask strength of 55%, non-chill-filtered, in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey was first matured in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished in French Jupille oak. It is a limited edition, and each bottle is individually numbered. The nose offers ripe dark fruits, toasted oak and a little spice. On the palate come plums, red fruit, mixed spice, warm oak and a hint of tobacco. The finish is long and dry, with spiciness and warm tannins.
