Bushmills 21 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt made from 100% malted barley at the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky spends at least 19 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon-seasoned casks, then a further two years in Madeira casks, giving 21 years in wood in all.
The nose is fresh and aromatic, leaning towards caramel and citrus. On the palate come dried apricot and fig with toffee and toasted oak. The finish is clean and long, returning to raisin and vanilla over caramel, honey and warm baking spice.
