Bushmills 21 Years is an Irish whiskey from County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It matured for at least 19 years in Oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then spent a further two years in Madeira casks for the finish. Each bottle is individually numbered, and it is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is complex, with almonds, honey and malt from the ex-bourbon casks, then raisins, wood, dark chocolate and a little mint. The palate is soft and malty, with raisins, wood, spice, vanilla, dark chocolate and hints of mint and leather. The finish is intense and lightly dry, with malt, raisins and wood lingering.
