Bushmills 25 Year Old is a single malt Irish whiskey from Old Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is made from 100% malted barley and is triple distilled.
The whiskey first matured in ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts, then spent up to 21 years finishing in first-fill ruby port pipes. That long port finish defines its character.
The nose is dark berries, honey, toasted wood and hints of caramel and chocolate. The palate brings caramelised cherries, plums, almond and dark chocolate with gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with port sweetness, oak spice and lingering dark fruit.
