Bushmills 31 Year Rare Cask American Oak is the fourth release in the Bushmills Rare Cask series, a triple-distilled single malt made from 100% malted barley in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
It spent its first 14 years in bourbon and sherry casks, then moved into new American oak to complete 31 years of maturation. It is bottled at 45.6% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
On the nose there is warm honey and vanilla. The palate brings creamy milk chocolate, pear and sweet apple, and the finish is warming spiced coconut.
